Dear Sirs,

RE: S.S. "THORPENESS"

-

CHEUNG KWAI WAN

(DECD

We have now placed the facts before Underwriters

in this connection, who of course agree that it is very

difficult to arrive at any settlement in respect of

dependency, without further details. As such details

are likely to take a very long time to cbtain, they have

advised us of their willingness to pay the sum of £25

entirely without prejudice to dispose of the matter.

Perhaps, therefore, you will kindly put this suggestion

forward to the proper quarter, and favour us with your

advices in due course.

Yours faithfully,

E.R. LLOYD & CO.
